Faith in Action - Homeroom Donation Challenge

As part of the College's Christian Service Learning program ‘Faith in Action’, Middle School students were invited to participate in a 'donation challenge' during Extended Homeroom on Wednesday 10 June.

Due to COVID restrictions, usual activities that the students participate in as part of Faith in Action have been postponed, so the decision was made to hold a donation drive for local agencies that the College supports, including:

  • Regents Garden

  • St Patricks Community Centre

  • Vinnies WA

  • Foodbank

The generosity of students was overwhelming to see, with Homerooms bringing in books, boardgames, long-life groceries, and winter items such as socks, scarfs, beanies and blankets.

There was a great atmosphere in each of the year group blocks, as they showed great spirit and enthusiasm through this demonstration of Faith in Action. A special mention must go to Pallotti House who had the highest number of collections in both Year 7 and 9!

Donations are still being collected into Week 8 and can be dropped at the bottom of the Mater Christi Centre (next to the Cafeteria).

Thank you to all the parents for supporting their children in this endeavour and hope for your continued support of this program at the College.
